Is it really ‘free’?

How many of you have an unwanted toolbar staring down at you, right now? Quite a few, I am sure. How did you happen to get them? Most often than never they come piggy-backed on a ‘free’ software you downloaded.

Like they say, there is no free meal. Even a software designer working from his basement will need some money to survive. Being in this profession, for quite a while now and coming out of the basement a few years ago, I realized that it’s rarely ‘free’. My firm gets a dozen requests per month to give away as freebies, with our software and they are ready to pay too.

Adware, Malware, Spyware, Bloatware are some of the names associated with these software packages which generate revenue for the author. They are just so annoying. But more than that, they are harmful. Most of them,  if not all, actually all, make your computer slow and unstable. Some malicious add on are also reading onto your personal files and internet history.

A harmless looking 100% free ad on google, is also an ad-supported ad. You click on it and you get 4 extra programmes in the bargain. How cool is that? NOT.  Probably to find a real free program, but no guarantee here, is to get the software from the developer’s site, not from a third party host. Why will a third party, give you a place to download someone else’s software, for free? If it’s a free software, is the developer paying for the ads and is he is, then how? Either he’s a millionaire or a really gentle soul. Most likely, neither.

We do not give away free software. We tailor fit them for your business needs and customize it as and when there are fancy new upgrades available for your OS. We charge for our services but assure you that you will have a fantastic experience with us. We develop customized software, design website and do a whole lot of other cool things. Call us for more details.

Be aware of adware. There is a cost you’re paying for the ‘free’ stuff.
